This unique project was created in collaboration with Danger and Raphaël Siboni during an artist residency at Gaité Lyrique in Paris in January 2011.
Inspired by the sci-fi universe of the 70s, cyberpunk, and mangas, this interactive scenography disrupts the traditional rules of VJing and blurs the line between the analog and digital worlds.
A striking black piano stands in stark contrast to the screen positioned behind it, projecting a captivating visual representation of the DJ's performance throughout their set.
The visuals are powered by an innovative homemade software that utilizes OSC (open sound control) to receive all the information necessary to create the mesmerizing display.
The DJ takes full control of the installation using a simple MIDI controller, allowing them to seamlessly manipulate the visuals in real-time and create a unique and captivating experience for the audience.
By breaking the traditional boundaries of VJing and combining elements of analog and digital technology, this project offers a fresh and innovative perspective on live performance, creating a dynamic and immersive experience that transports viewers into a sci-fi wonderland.
